Sizing a vent line

Vent lines that are undersized or that exceed 20 equivalent feet could cause a pulsating effect during operation and restrict the relief capabilities of the regulator.  

For a 20’ equivalent line (allow 5’ for each elbow), you can use the vent connection size.  For every 10 equivalent feet over the first 20’ you must increase the entire length of the vent line one nominal pipe size.  Do not put elbows close together.  Call if equivalent is over 60’.
